Family house without compromises
The subject plot is located in the lucrative district of Záhorská Bystrica and its orientation was ideal for the design of quality architecture. The locality is known for its clear regulations and very variegated current architecture. Our task was to design a house that fits into the surrounding environment while representing the Client´s individuality. Project based on an idea concept shaped with clear lines and a focus on detail.
We oriented the house with its back facing the street in order to secure privacy and its day part facing the internal yard. Frameless glass items cancelling the imaginary boundary between the exterior and interior were embedded into the façade. Sharp lines in combination with the used materials give a very harmonic impression.

Layout of the house is very much above-standard. Garage for four cars, inside wellness part with swimming pool, as well as above-standard areas of rooms indicate that the Client has high housing demands.
The first floor with many extravagant solutions such as a large vinotheque and a sofa embedded into the floor was created for the family as well as social life of the owners. The night part with an above-standard layout was separated in terms of layout and design as much as possible.
One of the most difficult tasks was to align the Client´s requirements on the layout area with the object of the family house and local regulations. Slightly sloped land was an advantage for the full utilisation of the basement. Therefore, the most ideal alternative was a complete utilisation of the underground part and maximum utilisation of the receding floor.
Our vision was to eliminate the impression of a large building. Therefore, we have optically horizontally elongated the object and created the second-floor façade in a way to complete the transition between the building and the sky.

The complex assignment that we received from the Client required not only a creative approach but also progressive building solutions. Therefore, we chose a structural system from wooden CLT panels. Static properties of the material were utilised to maximum extent. In some places the panels remained uncovered without the additional surface finish. Clarity of materials is also shown on the elements from cast face concrete or on the façade from concrete slabs.
In terms of energy efficiency, the family house is classified as a low-energy building. Ventilation is ensured by highly efficient recuperative devices. Heating and cooling is ensured by a heat pump which is connected to the floor heating and ceiling cooling. The smart home system takes care of the entire logic and comfort of users.
